Twilight starts off by introducing the reader to a young girl named Isabella (Bella) Swan who is seventeen years old. Her parents are both divorced, her mother lives in Arizona while her father lives in rainy Forks, Washington.
Bella decides to move in with her father because she feels as if she is holding her mother back from her new husband Phil.
Upon her arrival at school she lays eyes on Edward Cullen, who you find out later in the book is a vampire.
The story is one of romance as the two fall in love, Edward battles each moment with her as he struggles not to kill her but when a vampire threatens to kill Bella it tests how much Edward really can resist her.
My Opinion . . .
Ah, Twilight. How I love you so. I remember the first day I got Twilight, it was sitting under my Christmas tree with seven other books. I picked up each one, one by one and read the back chooosing the best sounding one to read first. When I read the famous lines on the back cover I quickly pushed Twilight off to the side deciding at the word "vampire" to read it last. What a mistake I had made.
This book is fantastic and I advise anyone that is willing to try something new to read it! It changed my life and the characters seem so real that you can't help but to think Edward Cullen *sighs* really exists!
